General Manager/PGA Director of Golf
Kevin brings over eight years of leadership experience with KemperSports to the Mountain, including a successful tenure as General Manager for several premier private clubs in the Northeast. As a Class A PGA Professional, he is dedicated to fulfilling the course’s potential by elevating the guest experience to a resort-style standard. While maintaining its status as a cherished home for members, students, and the Sewanee Tiger golf teams, Kevin’s vision focuses on taking the club to the next level by transforming the Golf Lodge into a vibrant community hub for local food and craft beer. As an approachable leader overseeing all aspects of golf operations and F&B, Kevin is eager to establish himself as an active and dedicated member of the local community.

Head Golf Professional
Matt Daniels is the Head Golf Professional at The Course at Sewanee, bringing 36 years of deep golf industry expertise to the mountain. Golf has been a central part of Matt’s life from an early age, growing up in a passionate golfing family alongside his parents and siblings. After competing at the collegiate level, he followed his father’s trusted advice and turned his lifelong passion into a career. Matt joined The Course at Sewanee team in 2012, arriving at a pivotal moment during the course’s landmark renovation by renowned architect Gil Hanse. A natural storyteller and a people person through and through, Matt is celebrated by members and visitors alike for his unmatched hospitality and dedication to the player experience. Whether he is sharing a captivating tale about the history of the course or going above and beyond to ensure a guest feels welcome, Matt is entirely dedicated to making every visit to the mountain completely unforgettable.

Rooted right here in our community—with foundational experience at local staples like The Sewanee Inn—this dedicated group is constantly bringing fresh ideas to the table, always eager to learn and elevate your experience.
